Hello, and welcome to my home page.
My name is Streak. Why Streak? Well imagine this. Hoomans are standing, sitting or laying here, there and everywhere. Perfect targets, I'd say.
So, I look from one to the other, then plan my route at 100 miles an hour! I can gage just how much room I have and never run into anything that would hurt my head.
I can race through hooman legs, up on hooman chests, hit the floor and head for the next one, ending up clinging to a screen or whatever is high up where I can look down on them.
They must like it because they are laughing. I think that's what they call it. At any rate, I am just a little yellow streak through the house, thus my name. I like it and think it fits me nicely.
Wanna know something about me? Even if you don't, I'm gonna tell ya, so get ready.
I am a good looking (of course, I'm a cat - duh!), shorthaired, male, ginger tabby with yellow eyes. I have at least 2 other siblings. We were all dumped off into the woods by some mean people with no heart and no conscience. My siblings and I saw some houses and we scampered away to them. I went one way, and they went another. I liked the house I picked so I just sat there and meowed until this nice man came out to investigate and picked me up.
Boy, was I dirty, stinky, had stuff running from my eyes, as you can see in my first pictures, and full of fleas. He said he couldn't keep me because they have a big, big territorial cat, they were afraid would hurt me if he knew I was here. He made a few phone calls and just couldn't find anyone who could take me, so guess what??
Yep, you guessed it, I was just so tiny and so cute, he decided I could stay!! They just won't tell the big mean cat, I'm here, since I will stay inside and he's outside. Phew, good for me!
I was given a couple of baths so I smelled better and got rid of some of those fleas. The lady in the house, said I must get to a vet, so off I went. I was poked, prodded and pinched but they said it was all so I could feel better. Didn't feel so good at the time, I'll tell ya!
Anyway, the vet said; I am just 3 months old (which would make my birthday about May 8th), and I had a cold, but otherwise in good shape. The man was given medicine to give me and something to kill the nasty fleas, as well as to take care of my cold and runny eyes.
I really like it here in my new home. I have some new toys, my own dishes to eat out of and a scratching post with a ball on top, that I wear myself out jumping up to make move! I love to play and play and play. My new family makes funny noises when I play. It's a nice noise so I'm thinking I am doing a good thing with this play stuff. Think maybe they like it too.
I like to be picked up and petted. It makes me purr and that's always a good thing.
I think my siblings live next door and have a nice lady who takes care of them. I'm happy to know that.
I heard some hooman talk about going to the vet again soon. I guess it will be ok since I know I'm coming back to my comfy, new home.
Hope you'll come back often to see more pictures of me. I know there are some already, but hoomans, being hoomans, just haven't gotten around to getting them up here. Guess I'll just have to keep reminding them........Here I come you guys!!
