Hello my fellow parents, my name is Alice Magner and I’m your residential parent blogger here at familythenandnow.com. I am the proud mother of four incredible children, three boys and one girl. My eldest son is 19 years old. Next is my daughter, who just turned 15 and then my two youngest are both 13 (twins!). When my first child was born, I knew next to nothing about parenting. However, after 23 years of experience, I can tell you that I’ve seen and been through just about everything. Be it baby proofing the house in preparation for your first child to helping that same one move into their dorm for their first semester at college. I’ve been through it all, and here on familythenandnow.com, I’ll be sharing those experiences with you.
As you all know, being a parent is a difficult task. When I first became one, I was constantly second guessing myself. I found myself wishing there was someone around who had all the answers. Unfortunately, I don’t have all the answers, and there’s no instruction manual when it comes to children. What I can say however is that the more experience you have the easier parenting becomes. By the time my twins had arrived, my first child was 7 and my second was 3. And while I wouldn’t say I had everything figured out by this point, I was certainly more confident in my role as a mother. So I can say with confidence that experience is indeed the best teacher.
In addition to being a mother, I also work as a freelance writer for a small tech magazine. This is part of the reason why I decided to start this blog. I love to write and I love being a parent! So if you’re a first time parent that has some questions or you just want to know a little more about a certain situation, send me an email and I’ll do my best to answer any questions you may have!
